No, I visited Greece last year and it did not seem to be “bad.” They are an ancient country, rich in history, and considered to be a part of the First World.

Absolutely not, and I don’t have any idea what you are basing this assumption on.
Greece has a poverty level of 22%, with a population of 10,706,290 this means that roughly 2,355,000 people are living below the poverty line. The USA has a poverty level of 17%, but has a population of over 301,000,000 meaning that over 51,000,000 people are living below the poverty line. Therefore there are a lot more poor people living in the USA.
Also, the conflict between Greece and Turkey goes back hundreds of years and takes in a lot of history, too much to go into here but google it if you want all the details are there. The conflict between Greece and the former Yugoslav republic is relating to the macedonia name and is not what could be described as anything of major signifigance when compared to the Turkish issues.
The USA is currently in conflict with the Middle East, has problems with China, has had problems in the past with a lot of nations and has been at war with many nations (Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq to name but a few). All of these conflicts have no historical background similar to the Turkey - Greece conflict whatsoever.
So perhaps the question should be do you believe that the USA is a bad and poor country?
I should point out that I have no problem with the USA in general I’m just using it as an example to show how ludicrous this question is.

Why would we have a problem with Macedonia…. it is just a Greek province anywhay.
Ooooh you mean that little country that it is inhabited by Slavs, speaking a slavic language, and migrated there 1000 years after Alexander died? Do you refer to them? Well they are about 70% Bulgarians and 30% Albanians so why whould they use a Greek name?
Personaly I do not care.
