How do I do diving correctly as in I won’t drown or have an accident. How do I not get scared when I’m diving. Just this morning, I wasn’t really able to participate in the swimming lessons because I’m scared of diving. How do I do it correctly? How do I do diving in a sitting and standing position?

I fist was afraid to but practicing and experience will help you to overcome your fear.
If you never did diving you have to sit near the edge, put one of your knee on the groun the other knee should be near your stomach and your chin should be very close to your chest and then jump in the water.

I can’t swim, but I think you just have to go for it and be brave and hold your breath so water doesn’t go up your nose. If you are taking a swimming lesson they should be showing you how to dive the correct way and they should be there to help you so you don’t get hurt. You are brave, so just do it. I think you are more handsome than your friend, you have a more modern hair style. Edit to previous question. Make a list of characters before you write your story. Write about things you know. Describe people you know, so if your story has a Librarian, describe your Librarian, or your English teacher, or someone in your family. Give the mom and dad names for the sake of the reader, even though the kids call them mom and dad. I can live with John and Jenny, but watch the names you give characters. People don’t usually read books at one sitting, so you have to have names they (the reader) can remember and keep track of when they go back to the book. I like characters names to start with different letters of the alphabet. Try not to rhyme names. I read a book that had Nick and Rick and I couldn’t remember if Nick was the good guy or Rick was the good guy and Nick was the bad guy. I had to keep going back in the story to see which one was which. Mark time for the reader. So instead of saying one time, replace that with an actual time, friday night, saturday morning, sunday after church, etc. Get out a calender and plan your story. Get an old notebook and have a page for each day of the trip. So if the trip starts Friday December 18th, that is the first page, and make rough notes what you want to happen on the first day, and the next page will be Saturday December 19th and so on. Leaving the page to write what is going to happen in the story each day. It is a rough draft so you can change, add and take away things if the story is changing when you write it. Ghost tend to appear to people when they are under stress, so I would make your present day family going through some stress, which also explains why they are going on vacation, to get away from the city and the people and the noise and to get over the stress. I would suggest that the present day mother had a sister die of cancer and the family is upset over the loss of the loved one and they are getting away from everything to have some quiet time, only they don’t know about the ghost. ha ha you can email me at You should also consider that characters from other stories you have written can appear in this story too. So just because it is a ghost story, doesn’t mean everyone has to be afraid and scared and serious, you can put your funny man in the story, people have to laugh too.

since ur a beginner, u shud try sitting first. put ur hands in a streamline position forward and look down into the water. then just put push urself into the water. u should always dive into the water hands first and feet last. make sure ur streamline is very tight. standing is just the same. you want to make sure you keep a tight streamline and hand first into the water. but the only thing different is wen you start on the block, you want to put your handes of the front of the block, one foot in front and one in the back. both feet should be facing the front. do not keep ur back foot flat; the heel should be off the block, only the toes should be on. wen u hear the starting gun or sumthing, you want to shoot your whole body forward. then immediately put ur hands into a streamline position, b4 ur get into the water. sum people prefer putting their heads up then quickly put their heads back to position. i dont do that and i dont recommend it. most likely u will do a body slam. trust me it hurts

To dive standing up, stand at the edge of the pool, overlap your hands and raise them above your head. Bend over at your middle, and jump in, kind of like you would do a handstand, but with your hands overlapped.
To dive into the pool the other way, kneel on one knee by the edge of the pool and do the same as you would standing–but use your legs to push you in.
It’s easy once you practice, and as long as you do it in the deep end of the pool, you won’t get hurt.
Good luck!

DO NOT try to dive without proper instruction, you could seriously injure yourself.
If your teacher expects you to dive with out training they are not worth the money.
